dc.descriptionShelburne Falls and Colrain Railway. Ralph Purrington in foreground. The cars did not run very often, and the combination was always "subject to delay on account of freight." The Griswoldville Manufacturing Company entered the twentieth century with good business prospects. They were now really solvent and had a more diversified line. In fact, the initial decade after 1900 saw good results and fair profits.
