The Canalside Rail Trail (aka Bike Path) is a 3.8-mile paved trail on old railroad beds, from Unity Park in Turners Falls, Massachusetts, south to the East Deerfield RR yard. Motor vehicles are prohibited. The Rail Trail will--in the future--connect with the trail/bike path at Amherst, MA. Visionaries see the Rail Trail eventually heading to Northfield, MA, and points north from there.
