Colrain

The Town of Colrain is located in Western Franklin county. Being one of the "Hill Towns", early industry of the 1830s took advantage of the managable hydro-power resources. Most notable was the cotton processing industry of Joseph Griswold, whose name was given to the village surrounding his primary mill at Griswoldville. Source: Unk.
