dc.descriptionJan 21- 80 [1880] -- My Dear Davis, -- You have no idea how delighted I was to receive tour bountiful donation. It came just in time to save Mrs. Keith the trouble of going to market again this winter. I hope to have a chance some time to do as much for you. -- We have secured two letters this week from --  ; -- [Davis would be Wendell Davis; a Greenfield lawyer (admitted to Bar 1841), and businessman. Register of Probate (1851). A major investor in the Keith Paper Co.. Davis was one of the original Directors of the Franklin County Nat’l. Bank in Greenfield, (1849). Was elected as State Rep. 1851-1856. -- e.g. -- ]
