Bakewell -- Dear Sir, -- The next mail after we got your 23rd we got a letter from Mr Eaten saying he had offered you 12 ½ disc. on our ledgers and on some special weights 15 and complains of us because he could not sell you – that we gave too large discount to you &c. -- I presume he offered to sell you cheap for same reason that you said you would site Johnston his own ledgers at what they cost to lay them down in Pittsburg.
