dc.description | Feby 4, 81 [1881] -- My dear Mr. Rice, -- I have a niece Kate M. Shumway whose father W.J. Shumway is a merchant in Webster Worcester Co. She is very desirous of attaining a situation as copyist in some one of the offices in the State House. Mr. Bishop Prest. of the Senate has kindly permitted her to refer to him and suggests to her making an application to the Tax Commissioner as there may possibly be a chance in his office if a new valuation is made. Will you please let her refer to you if necessary and oblige. -- Yours truly -- John Keith -- | |
