March 19, 85 [1885] -- My dear Wartman, -- It was with great sorrow that I learned of the death of Mr. McCune. -- I deeply sympathize with all of his friends in their loss. -- Although my relations with him are of a business character they partook more of the social, and I had learned to look upon him a friend who seemed always interested in my personal success. -- I know he will be severely missed by those who saw him often and were more intimately associated with him. -- Sincerely yours -- John Keith -- --
