dc.description | John Keith (1828-1886) was president of Keith Paper Company. This was the third mill to be built on the Turners Falls Company canal, and began operations in 1873. In 2017, the Museum of Our Industrial Heritage obtained a 'copy book' of Keith's outgoing correspondence. These copies were made by sponging some ink from the original penned letters, into a thin page of a bound volume. In this way, Keith was able to keep a record of what he had written and sent out to others. This Volume 2 contains an easy to read consecutive series, between 1877-1882. | en_US |
