dc.descriptionThis picture demonstrates the torque forces required for the use of GTD taps as each cuts a screw thread. The test station is using a Baldwin SR-4 Type T torque pickup, and is recording the forces required to cut the resulting thread on a chart recorder. A similar demonstration of this shown at minute 24 of the 1952 GTD film "Facts About Taps & Tapping"
