Abstract
The diary of Bernard N. Farren, engineer and a founding father of Turners Falls, Massachusetts
Description
Bernard N. Farren was a famous civil engineer and founding father of Turners Falls, MA. His work projects scattered across the north-east United States, but is locally remembered for his genius in solving special construction problems in building the Hoosac Tunnel and in joining the team in creating a new industrial water-power community in Montague Massachusetts after the American Civil War. Much attention is being drawn to the loss of the last remaining landmarks of his legacy and gifts to the community. It is fitting that we include as much of his complete story as we are able to gather and discover. This is a PDF. In the left sidebar, click Diary of B.N. Farren to access the document.
